ZF Fluid Change

Changing the ZF fluid has been on my list of things to do for some time, but having just purchased the Banzai Runner less than a year ago I had not yet gotten around to it. The Mini Tech Check at Chuck Melton's house on Saturday, January 17 seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Pre Las Vegas Mini Tech Inspection

This tech inspection was geared toward those of us who were planning to attend the Fun Rally in Las Vegas, and who have never before had our cars on the track. I planned to register for the track event, not necessarily to race, but for the opportunity to drive the Banzai Runner at speed in a safe, controlled environment without fear of an expensive ticket. As it turns out, I will not be able to make the trip to Las Vegas this year due to an overly-committed personal and family schedule.

Anyway, When I showed up at Chuck's house, he and Jason Eaton were nearly finished with the Tech Inspection of Jason's car, and were about to change his ZF fluid.

Chuck had printed out the Tech Inspection Forms for both Jason and I which was an excellent guide to what we should inspect. As so, we began to inspect the Banzai Runner while Jason finished filling his ZF.
